Earlier this week I was excited to find that I had been nominated for a Versatile Blogger Award! The incredibly talented Jewel from Just a Mom Who Writes nominated me. I have not only enjoyed reading her wonderful blog posts and short stories, but I have also had the pleasure of being featured on her site with a guest short story post! Thank you for the nomination!
The Versatile Blogger Award is for newer or smaller blogs. It was created to encourage engagement with fellow bloggers – to lift each other up and support each other’s hard work. Please join me in supporting my fabulous nominees!
Momma Braga - Melanie happens to be one of the first mom blogger friend's that I have made online. She puts a lot of heart and soul into her writing and it shows! Her blog not only offers her own personal motherhood experiences but she also features Moms/Dads of the month, writes product and book reviews and provides great tips for family-friendly places to visit in Toronto! I had the pleasure of joining her, among many others, in The Baby Spot's top 100 mom bloggers!
Happiest Mama - The title of Jasmine's blog says it all -- her posts are dedicated to making moms simply and honestly happy. From product reviews and tips or life hacks to her inspirational pieces, her blog is refreshing and I have enjoyed exploring it!
Anchored Mom Life - Sarah is a Navy wife and mother who blogs about military life, motherhood and marriage. Her Understanding Love series is thought-provoking and her blog posts are very honest and sincere. I’m happy to have come across this wonderful blog!
I wanted to do at least one Dad blogger nomination. TJ, a father of two, writes The DADgum Blog. What I have really enjoyed about his blog is how he shares his fatherhood experiences in a very honest and real way that I often can relate to (and I think many other parents out there would too!) If you haven’t read his blog go check it out now!
And now…
7 Facts About Myself
I love to crank up the music and belt out songs when I’m alone in my car.
I was a band geek in high school. I played the clarinet for the concert band and the saxophone for the jazz band.
My nickname used to be bookworm. One summer when I was a teen I read about 20 books. I still love to read but sadly don’t pick up novels as much as I used to (mostly kid’s books now!)
Hello, my name is Jen and I’m a chocoholic! Chocolate is my weakness. I could probably eat some every day!
For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of being a published author. If I ever see my name on the cover of a book I might pass out from excitement!
I don’t know how to swim. I have a fear of deep water. It is something I really wish I had the courage to overcome, especially now that my kids are learning how to swim.
I have a bucket list. Only a couple of things have been crossed off (one of them was ride in a helicopter!) but there are still a few I really want to do, like visit New York City and Paris, ride in a small airplane and most recently I added get a tattoo. I’m thinking sing on a Broadway stage will be one of those items I will only dream of! Haha!
Which blogs do you enjoy? I would love for you to share some!
