Organizing Your Linen Closet: Folding Bed Sheets
You wouldn't know it by looking around my house but I prefer things to be organized and in order. I don't know if it's because spring is here but I find myself wanting to just purge all the junk out of my house and finally get it organized to the standard I'd like to live up to (unfortunately not the standard I'm living, but that's tricky with two small kids in the house!)
Lately I've been looking up different ways to organize my home and I have found a few tricks that I think are awesome! Here is the first one I've tried (and I will share more in future posts): organizing the linen closet, or more specifically, how to store your bed sheets. Honestly, when I came across this idea I thought it was pure genius and wished I had found this sooner!
It's simple really. Fold all the components of your bed sheet set (fitted and flat sheets and pillow cases) and put the folded set inside one of the pillow cases. Then stack them in your linen closet. So brilliantly easy!
Probably a little embarrassing to admit this, but I was so excited to try this out that I re-folded and put my bed sheets away using this method the same day I stumbled upon this life hack online. The result was not as neat and tidy as the picture (because honestly, who can fold bed sheets that neatly!?) but I was happy to find that it also created more space in my linen closet. And with my youngest now out of the crib and into a double bed, it was space that I needed for storing, well, more bed sheets.
